B and D Gravel - Landscaping Materials

Sand, Rock, Soil and Aggregates

Screen Fill Dirt

Fill Dirt

Screened Fill Dirt is processed through a screening grate, this removes most clumps and rocks.  It is used for a variety of landscape projects, such as mounting and sculpting your yard, planting your grass, flowers, scrubs and trees.

Fill Dirt will generally contain soil chunks and rock.  It is used to fill in a depression or hole in the ground.

There are approximately 5-1/2 level wheelbarrows to a ton of material.

This is what approximately 5 tons of material looks like....covers approximately 500 square feet, 2" deep.

3/4" Aggregate

Aggregates, sometimes called "Agg" mix or concrete mix.  Aggregate is a mix of sand and rock and is used for making concrete, just add the water and cement.

3/8" Aggregate

ABC is used primarily for a road base compaction material or used as a sub base under concrete or asphalt.  ABC gravel is also very effective in improving muddy driveways, roads or parking lots.

River Rocks

River Rocks are smooth rounded rocks that have been smoothed over time from water currents.  River Rocks are used in landscaping and garden projects.  They may be used to create paths, build walls, borders, dry river beds and compliment ponds and fountains.

Pea Gravel

Pea Gravel is a small gravel most often used as a landscaping element to accent perimeters of garden and lawn areas.  It is also a filter material used in between stepping stones or walkways and allows water to seep into the soil, rather than run off.

Leach Rock

Leach Rock is used in septic systems and leach fields for drainage purposes.  It is also commonly used for topping a driveway, provides good drainage and helps in wet/muddy conditions.

Concrete Sand

A course washed sand used in concrete production, soil mixes, leveling pavers, flagstone or play pools.  This product can also be used in Horse Arena's.  The benefits of the product is the low dust (the material is wash which decreases the health concerns for both you and your horse) better traction, cushion and improves drainage.

Mortar Sand

Mortar Sand is a washed fine grade sand commonly for under pavers, for masonry and stucco applications.  It also makes great volleyball, sandbox, horseshoe pits and cushioning for under above ground or lined pools.

Did you know that it takes approximately 20 shovels to equal a 3 cubic foot wheelbarrow.
